Policy on Cookies

Cookies files constitute IT data, in particular text files, that are stored in the Shop User’s terminal and are intended for use of the Shop’s web pages. Cookies usually contain the name of the website from which they originate, length of their storage on the terminal and their unique numbers.

Cookies are used to:

customize the content of the Shop’s web pages to the User’s preferences and optimize the use of the Shop’s web pages; in particular, the files allow for recognizing the Shop User’s terminal and for properly displaying the web page customized to the Shop User’s preferences;

keep statistics that help to understand the manner in which the Shop’s Users make use of the web pages, which facilitates improvement of their structure and content;

Two basic types of cookies are used within the Shop, namely session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are temporary files that are stored on the User’s terminal until the User leaves the web page or disables the software (online browser). Persistent cookies are stored on the User’s terminal over the period specified in the cookies’ parameters or until they are removed by the User.

Two following types of cookies are used within the Shop:

Strictly necessary cookies enabling the use of the services available within the Shop, e.g. authenticating cookies used for the services requiring authentication within the Shop;

cookies used for assuring security, e.g. employed to detect authentication fraud within the Shop;

performance cookies enabling collection of the information on the manner of use of the Shop’s web pages;

functional cookies enabling ‘memorization’ of the settings selected by the User and personalization of the User’s interface, e.g. in terms of the selected language or region from which the User originates, font size, appearance of the web page etc.; and

advertising cookies enabling delivery to the Users of advertising content better customized to their interests.

In many cases, the software used for browsing through web pages (online browser) accepts storage of cookies on the User’s terminal by default. The Shop’s Users may change cookies settings at any time. Those settings may be changed, in particular in such manner as to block automatic support of cookies in the online browser’s settings or inform about their setting on the Shop User’s terminal each time. The details of the options and ways of supporting cookies can be found in the software settings (of the online browser).

Cookies set on the Shop User’s terminal may also be used by the advertisers and partners collaborating with the Shop’s operator.
